Cuomo today announced Assurances of Discontinuance with Credit Suisse Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated relating to the auction rate securities settlements reached last summer. The Assurances detail how the firms have and will continue to provide liquidity to investors who purchased auction rate securities.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has obtained an emergency asset freeze in a $485 million offering fraud and Ponzi scheme orchestrated by three Dallas businessmen through a company they owned and controlled, Provident Royalties LLC.

SIX Swiss Exchange Indices: Adjustments To SMI®, SMIM® And SLI® Composition And SPI® Small/Middle/Large Breakdown

The Management Committee of SIX Swiss Exchange has decided to make changes to SIX Swiss Exchange index baskets on the basis of a recommendation from the Index Commission and in compliance with the SMI®, SLI® and SPI® index rules. The indices will be adjusted on 18 September 2009 after closing. The adjustment takes effect on 21 September 2009.

Dissemination Of FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series Resumed Within One Hour

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, together with the other indices in the FTSE Bursa Malaysia index series, resumed dissemination of the index values at 3:22pm. The Exchange was notified by FTSE that its real time price data feed provider encountered an issue since 2:30pm, which has since been resolved.
