RTS Stock Market Weekly Trading Results: September 15th – 19th, 2008
Over the week of September 15th – 19th, 2008, the RTS Index went down by 3,42% to reach 1295,91 points (1341,75 points as of September 12th, 2008). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for JSC "NOVATEK" ordinary shares (NVTK) (minus 13,03 points), OJSC "Polyus Gold" ordinary shares (PLZL) (minus 11,64 points) and Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (minus 10,52 points).

Eurex To Extend Fee Holiday For Index Dividend Futures - Fee Waiver Period Is Extended Until The Year-End 2008 To Enable Posting Of OTC Trades
The international derivatives exchange Eurex is to extend the fee waiver period on transactions in the Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50® Index Dividend Future until the end of 2008. The move comes in response to member requests to facilitate the migration of over-the-counter dividend swap trades into futures positions via the use of the Eurex OTC Block Trade Facility. For the week of September 15th – 19th, 2008 the total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS) equaled 158,7 bln. roubles or 4,1 mln. contracts, including 12,4 bln. roubles during the evening trading session. The total open interest as of the last day of the week, September 19th, 2008 reached 121,7 bln. roubles or 2,4 mln. contracts.

Short Selling: Italy's Commissione Nazionale Per Le Società E Le Borse Adopts New Provisions
Consob (Commissione Nazionale per le Società e le Borse) resolved today that the sale of shares issued by banks and insurance companies listed and traded on the Italian regulated markets shall be supported, from the moment of the order up and until the date of the settlement of the transaction, by the availability by the ordering party of the relevant securities.

Bond Exchange Of South Africa Records Largest Daily Turnover Figure Ever
The Bond Exchange of South Africa Limited (BESA) recorded its largest daily turnover figure ever on 22 September, topping R200 billion nominal during Monday’s trade. However, whilst turnover continues to show strong performance, yields have remained relatively stable since the beginning of September. The benchmark R153 was recorded at 9.620 yesterday yet this and other key bond yields may react on the back of inflation data to be reported by Stats SA later today.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts
Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Thursday, 25 September 2008, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining method
