Study Shows Negative Impact On Retail Investors If Fiduciary Standard Does Not Recognize Different Business Models

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced the launch of five NASDAQ OMX Alpha Indexes(TM)designed to help market participants measure performance between stock and exchange traded funds (ETFs). Options Clearing Corporation Announces Total Contract Volume In October Grew 4%

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today that total OCC volume reached 344,148,365 contracts in October. This represents a 4% increase over the October 2009 volume of 332,434,278 contracts. OCC year to date total volume is up 5% from 2009, coming in at 3,226,581,844 contracts.

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that October 2010 trading volume totaled 479,304 contracts, compared to 188,047 contracts during October 2009. October was the second-busiest month in CFE history, trailing only the 481,650 contracts traded during May 2010, and marked the thirteenth consecutive month in which total volume registered an increase when comparing year-over-year trading activity. The Exchange is implementing certain amendments to its schedule of fees which will come into effect on January 1, 2011. The changes relate to the Exchange’s sustaining fees, minimum listing fees (payable for new listings, qualifying transactions, reverse takeover bids and changes in business) and maximum financing fees. KCBT Wheat Futures Volume Largest Ever For Month of October

The Kansas City Board of Trade's Hard Red Winter wheat futures contract set a new trading volume record for the month of October as 430,271 contracts were traded last month. The previous monthly October volume record was 421,499 contracts in 2006. Trading volume was 17.1 percent higher than October 2009 volume.

MGEX Reports October Year-Over-Year Increase In Trading Volume, Open Interest - Joe Victor Newest Member Of MGEX Team

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today announced October futures and options trading volume of 149,923 contracts, a 33 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Total exchange open interest was up 39 percent over October of last year, led by a strong increase in open interest of Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures contracts. HRSW futures open interest totaled 67,318 in October 2010, compared to 43,339 in the same period last year.<
