(NYSE: MXB), a leading global provider of investment decision support tools, including indices and portfolio risk and performance analytics, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of RiskMetrics Group, Inc. Under the terms of the transaction, each outstanding share of RiskMetrics common stock not held by MSCI, RiskMetrics or any of their subsidiaries has been converted into the right to receive a combination of 0.1802 of a share of MSCI’s Class A common stock and $16.

  • CBOE Sets All-Time Monthly Record - CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) Posts Second Straight Month Of Record Volume

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today reported that May 2010 average daily volume (ADV) of 6.6 million contracts was an all-time record for any month in the Exchange's history, surpassing the previous ADV record of 6.1 million contracts in September 2008.  May also was the second-highest month in total trading volume at CBOE as 131.3 million contracts changed hands, exceeded only by October 2008 when 134.2 million contracts traded at the Exchange.  

  • Key Figures SIX Swiss Exchange And Scoach Switzerland: May 2010

    In May 2010, cumulative trading turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland amounted to CHF 113.3 billion, 8.4% higher than in the previous month. The total number of trades increased at an even faster pace (15.2%) to 3,431,630, with all trading segments witnessing higher volume. The Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) segment recorded the largest gain, with turnover and trading volume surging in May to CHF 8.6 billion (+68.3%) and 79,758 (+45.4%) respectively.
