MAS has issued a consultation paper to seek comments on the draft legislative amendments to give effect to the revised regulatory regime for fund management companies (“FMCs”), as well as additional proposals to further enhance the business conduct requirements for FMCs.

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, September 27, 2011:

• Rainy River Resources Ltd. (TSXVN:RR) will be removed from the index as well as the S&P/TSX Venture Select Index. The company will graduate to trade on TSX under the same ticker symbol.

The mid-September short interest represents 4.20 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 2.92 days for the prior reporting period.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes:

• Intact Financial Corporation (TSX:IFC) has completed the acquisition of AXA Canada. The relative weight of Intact Financial Corporation will increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Equity and Capped Equity, the S&P/TSX Capped Financial, the S&P/TSX Completion and Equity Completion and the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend indices to reflect this issuance of Intact Financial shares. These changes will be effective after close on Monday, October 3, 2011.
