November volumes on the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) grew 121 % year-on-year to reach 423,945 contracts, valued at US$ 17.15 billion. Year-to-date volume in 2011 also increased 106% on 2010 levels to reach 3,629,409 contracts valued at US$ 169 billion.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange To Launch Legal System Promotion Activity For China Legal System Promotion Day

With the coming of December 4, the 11th China Legal System Promotion Day, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, China Securities Depository & Clearing Corp. Ltd. Shenzhen Branch and Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. jointly organized an online legal system promotion campaign focusing on the hot topics of “ChiNext board delisting system and investor’s rights protection”. On the morning of December 5, a dedicated legal system promotion team composed of the business experts from the Exchange and Clearing Company and the invited senior lawyers had a two-hour comprehensive communication with the investors through the Investor Online Communication Platform. 420 hot topics were discussed, including the ChiNext delisting system, securities issuance, listing, trading, registration, clearing, as well as the normalized operation of listed companies, information disclosure, acquisition and restructuring, funds and bonds businesses, and the establishment of honesty system.

Today, Early Delivery of the December 2011 contract month for rice futures was concluded at Tokyo Grain Exchange Inc. as follows:
Early delivery was concluded through parties requesting Early Delivery in writing for the current delivery submitted on December 5. As there was more than one party desiring to make delivery, the Exchange determined the party by drawing lots as stipulated in the Rules.

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today placed its long-term sovereign ratings on 15 members of the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU or eurozone) on CreditWatch with negative implications. We now think that there is at least a one-in-two chance that we will lower each of the ratings that we have placed on CreditWatch.
