The British Columbia Securities Commission today published a notice requesting comment on whether it ought to grant an application by Maple Group Acquisition Corporation to amend the BCSC’s recognition order relating to the TSX Venture Exchange and, if so, the conditions and undertakings that ought to accompany any amendment. The Maple Group Acquisition Corporation’s proposed acquisition includes TMX Group Inc, Alpha Trading Systems Limited Partnership, Alpha Trading Systems Inc, the Canadian Depository for Securities Limited and the CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc. All will serve one-year terms.

Today, the Central Bank of Chile hosted the second meeting of the Financial Stability Board(FSB) Regional Consultative Group for the Americas in Santiago, Chile. The group was established as part of the FSB’s initiatives announced in November 2010 to expand and formalise outreach beyond its membership. To this end, six regional consultative groups 1 were established to bring together financial authorities from FSB member and non-member countries to exchange views on vulnerabilities affecting financial systems and on initiatives to promote financial stability.
