The average daily turnover for the first three months of 2013 was $74,356 million, an increase of 18 per cent when compared with $63,210 million for the same period last year.

The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first three months of 2013 was $10,268 million, an increase of 19 per cent when compared with $8,621 million for the same period last year.

TOCOM Gold Advanced Beyond 5,000 Yen Per Gram

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc, announced that its February 2014 Gold futures contract (most active/back contract month) temporarily marked 5,025 yen per gram during today’s session. It is the first time since February 13, 2013 to reach the level of 5,000 yen per gram.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For HSI, MHI, HHI, MCH, China Merchants Bank And CNOOC Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 10 April 2013, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Suspends Sky Cheung Shi Gaii For 30 Months And Fines Him $500,000 For Regulatory Breaches

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has suspended Mr Sky Cheung Shi Gaii for 30 months from 4 April 2013 to 3 October 2015 and fined him $500,000 for trading with a concealed securities account, putting himself in a conflict of interest position and making false and inaccurate declarations in a newspaper investment column.

Markit Acquires DTCC Stake in MarkitSERV

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, today announced that it has acquired the ownership stake in MarkitSERV held by the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Markit and DTCC founded MarkitSERV in 2009 as a joint venture that combined the firms’ electronic trade processing services for OTC derivatives.
