Broadridge Reinforces Global Commitment To SWIFT - Earns Renewal Of Accreditations For Reconciliation And Corporate Treasury Solutions

Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) today announced that it has further strengthened its participation in the SWIFTReady accreditation process through two new awards for its global solutions. The accreditations include the 2012 SWIFTReady Reconciliation label for Broadridge’s PROactiveTM Reconciliation solution for the third consecutive year; in addition to the 2012 SWIFTReady for Corporates – Treasury label for Broadridge’s SWIFT transaction management solution, STM PROactive, representing a renewal from 2011.

Chi-X Japan PTS Receives Exemption From Take-Over-Bid Rule

The Financial Services Agency (FSA) announced today that as of 31 October2012, Chi-X® Japan Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of alternative trading venue operator Chi-X® Global Holdings LLC, will be designated as a proprietary trading system (PTS) on which transactions are exempt from the Take-Over-Bid (TOB) rule of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that Judge Leonard D. Wexler of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York entered a default judgment and permanent injunction order against defendant Nicholas Cosmo, formerly of Lake Grove, N.Y., charged with defrauding investors of tens of millions of dollars in a commodity futures trading scheme (see CFTC Press Release 5606-09, January 27, 2009).

The public is advised that due to Hurricane Sandy, The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) and The Bahamas Central Securities Depository (BCSD) will be closed to the general public on Thursday October 25, 2012 and Friday October 26, 2012. BISX and BCSD will re-open to the public and commence normal market operations at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012.
