ADX, NBAD, Agthia, TAQA, ADCB, And FGB Launch Abu Dhabi Chapter Of Middle East Investor Relations Society

The Middle East Investor Relations Society (ME-IR Society) announced today the launch of its Abu Dhabi Chapter, hosted at the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). This is the sixth ME-IR Society Chapter launched this year so far, following initiatives launched in Qatar, Palestine, Kuwait, Dubai and Oman.

European Central Bank: Fifteen Additional Central Securities Depositories Sign The T2S Framework Agreement

30 June 2012 was the deadline for European central securities depositories (CSDs) to indicate whether or not they would sign the T2S Framework Agreement. The Framework Agreement is the contract which governs the legal relationship between the Eurosystem and each CSD participating in T2S, the future IT platform of the Eurosystem for the settlement of securities transactions in central bank money. The signing of the T2S Framework Agreement is a key milestone in the T2S project, which is set to go live in June 2015.

CME Group Volume Averaged 13.1 Million Contracts Per Day In June 2012 - Achieved Double-Digit Year-Over-Year Growth For Agricultural Commodities And Metals In June - Set Monthly Records In Copper Futures, Soybean Oil Options, And Australian Dollar And Canadian Dollar Foreign Exchange Futures - Recorded 12.4 Million Contracts Per Day In Second-Quarter 2012

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that June 2012 volume averaged 13.1 million contracts per day, down 11 percent from June 2011, and down 1 percent from May 2012. Total volume for June was more than 276 million contracts, of which a record 86 percent was traded electronically. Second-quarter 2012 volume averaged 12.4 million contracts per day, down 9 percent year-over-year, but up 1 percent compared with first-quarter 2012.

NYSE Euronext today received a draft version of a report by the SME Strategic Planning Committee from the group's chairman Fabrice Demarigny. The next step is a market place consultation period, open now and ending in September 2012, during which comments will be collected from a wide variety of sources.

The purpose of the APM is for us to report on the FSA’s activities over the last year – in formal terms that means the year April 2011 to March 2012.
