  • EGX:  The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) launched its FIXHUB project this month through linking to FIDESSA trading network. Accordingly, this will reflect positively on theEgyptian market liquidity without violating capital market rules.  It is worth mentioning that few years ago EGXhas started its FIX HUB project with the aim of linking to London StockExchange (LSE).

    The 9th International Advisory Council (IAC) Meeting of China Securities Regulatory Commission was held on 14th September in Beijing. In this meeting, the IAC members made in-depth discussion centered on topics including the development and supervision of bond markets, opening-up and regulation of derivatives markets and how to develop a multi-tiered capital market system in China. The members spoke highly of progresses and efforts that CSRC has made on the above-mentioned areas, especially the reform launched by CSRC under the framework of twelfth five-year plan in facilitating economic transformation and optimizing market function in resource allocation. The members also offered many conductive suggestions and advises related to further reform and opening-up of China's capital markets.

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand's (SET) securities trading volume in August rose 5.06 percent from the previous month, but down 21.48 percent from a year earlier. The global stock market in August was supported by economic stimulus measures in the Euro zone; however, mounting worries of China’s economy slowing undermined the sentiment. Meanwhile, the Thai capital market was boosted by economic expansion and good performances of Thai listed companies.
