Hurricane Sandy: Concerning October 29, 2012 Osaka Securities Exchange DJIA Futures Night Session Trading

As a result of the securities industry decision to close U.S. equities markets for October 29, 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy, CME Group announced to close its U.S. equity futures and equity options, including Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures, on futures markets on the trading floor and on CME Globex at 8:15 a.m., Central Time (10:15 p.m., Japan Standard Time).
Although OSE DJIA Futures will remain open regularly, please be aware that there could be possibility that market maker might have difficulty quoting, which could result in decline in market liquidity.

SIFMA Recommends Full Market Close On October 30 For Trading Of US Dollar-Denominated Fixed-Income Securities In The US Due To Hurricane Sandy And Severe Weather

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) recommends a full market close on Tuesday, October 30, for the trading of U.S. dollar-denominated fixed-income securities in the United States due to Hurricane Sandy and severe weather. However, SIFMA notes that primary dealers will need to determine if they intend to provide limited staffing on funding desks on Tuesday, October 30, in order to accommodate any potential open-market operations by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Deutsche Börse Group: Bond Subscription Ends Early

The subscription for the Laurèl GmbH (ISIN: DE000A1RE5T8) – which is to be included in the Entry Standard for corporate bonds – ended on its very first day. The subscription was originally supposed to run until 14 November. But the total volume of 20 million was already able to be placed on the market by late morning on the first day of subscription.
