  • Paul Tucker To Leave The Bank Of England

    ​Paul Tucker is today announcing his intention to leave the Bank of England. The exact date of his departure from the Bank will be confirmed in due course, but it is likely to be in the autumn after Paul has provided support to the new Governor, Mark Carney, through the first months of his term of office. Until he leaves the Bank, Paul will also continue to be an active member of the G20’s Financial Stability Board (FSB) and of other international committees.

  • Thai Bourse Hires Main Contractor For Its New Headquarters

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has signed an agreement hiring Nantawan Co,. Ltd. as the main contractor in constructing its new headquarters on Ratchadapisek Road, Dindaeng District, Bangkok, turning the compound into a complete capital market business center for investors and promoting "Matching Your Right Financial Opportunities". Construction is to be completed in 2015.

  • Renowned Economist Professor Benjamin M Friedman Appointed As MAS Term Professor At NUS

    The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) have jointly appointed Professor Benjamin M Friedman, William Joseph Maier Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University, as MAS Term Professor in Economics and Finance from 17 to 21 June 2013. Professor Friedman will be hosted by the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences’ Department of Economics, the NUS Business School, and the Economic Policy Group at the MAS during the term of the Professorship.
