Notice Of Ontario Securities Commission Approval: Maple Group Acquisition Corporation
Staff of the Commission (Staff or we) are publishing this notice (Notice) in connection with the proposed acquisition by Maple Group Acquisition Corporation (Maple) of TMX Group Inc. (TMX Group), which, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, TSX Inc. (TSX), operates the Toronto Stock Exchange. Maple also proposes to acquire Alpha Trading Systems Limited Partnership (Alpha LP), which owns the exchange operating company Alpha Exchange Inc. (Alpha Exchange), along with the general partner of Alpha LP, Alpha Trading Systems Inc. (Alpha GP) (collectively, Alpha). Finally, Maple proposes to acquire The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (CDS Ltd.) and, indirectly, CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc. (CDS Clearing and, collectively, CDS) (collectively, the Maple Proposal).

Maple Group Acquisition Corporation And TMX Group Announce Receipt Of No Action Letter From Competition Bureau
Maple Group Acquisition Corporation (Maple) and TMX Group Inc. (TMX Group) announced that Maple has received today a No Action Letter (NAL) from the Competition Bureau in respect of the proposed acquisitions of TMX Group, CDS and Alpha Group. Following an extensive review of the Maple proposal, and in light of the Ontario Securities Commission's recognition orders finalized today, the Competition Bureau does not, at this time, intend to make an application to the Competition Tribunal to challenge the proposed transaction under the merger provisions of the Competition Act.

London Stock Exchange Group (LSE.L) sits at the heart of the world’s financial community, offering international business unrivalled access to Europe’s capital markets. In June 2012 a total of 30.1 million trades were carried out across the Group’s electronic equity order books, an increase of four per cent on June 2011. They had a combined value of £153.1 billion (€190.0 billion), down 24 per cent on June 2011 (£201.8 billion).

The ECB And The Central Bank Of The Republic Of Turkey Sign A Memorandum Of Understanding

MAPLE And TMX Group Provide Regulatory Update - OSC Has Approved Final Recognition Orders For Maple Transaction - AMF Intends To Issue Final Recognition Order For CDS
Maple Group Acquisition Corporation ("Maple") and TMX Group Inc. (“TMX Group”) (TSX:X) today announced that they have been advised that the Ontario Securities Commission(“OSC”) has approved final recognition orders with respect to Maple’s proposed acquisition of TMX Group,Alpha Trading Systems Inc. and Alpha Trading Limited Partnership (collectively, “Alpha”) and The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (“CDS”). It is expected that these recognition orders will be published by the OSC later today. These orders provide the terms under which the OSC will permit Maple to operate a combined exchange and clearing group. Maple and the Maple investors are in agreement with the expected final forms of these orders applicable to them.

European Parliament: Eurozone Crisis: Not Just Roadmaps But Legislation Needed By September
The latest European Council conclusions go in the right direction in tackling the Eurozone crisis but the situation is so urgent that the Commission must table legislation by September in order to implement the four concepts in the Van Rompuy policy paper rapidly, says the EP in a resolution passed on Wednesday setting out its formal response to last week's summit.

SGX Derivatives, Commodities, Clearing Volumes Up
Singapore Exchange (SGX) today said derivatives, commodities and clearing activities grew in June from a year earlier while securities turnover was lower.
