Lael Brainard took the oath of office as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on Monday. Jerome H. Powell was also sworn in for a second term on the Board and Stanley Fischer was sworn in as Vice Chairman of the Board. The oaths were administered by Chair Janet L. Yellen in the Board Room.

FINRA Fines Merrill Lynch $8 Million - Over $89 Million Repaid To Retirement Accounts And Charities Overcharged For Mutual Funds

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has fined Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. $8 million for failing to waive mutual fund sales charges for certain charities and retirement accounts. FINRA also ordered Merrill Lynch to pay $24.4 million in restitution to affected customers, in addition to $64.8 million the firm has already repaid to harmed investors.

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Launches Stock Options On Bezeq And Perrigo

As part of its efforts to expand the range of derivative products traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE), the TASE board of directors approved the launch of stock options on the shares of two additional companies, Bezeq and Perrigo, at its 12.6.2014 meeting. The trading of these new options will commence on 28 August 2014.
