The average daily turnover for the first six months of 2013 was $68,280 million, an increase of 20 per cent when compared with $56,697 million for the same period last year.

The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first six months of 2013 was $8,696 million, an increase of 17 per cent when compared with $7,448 million for the same period last year.

The average daily of turnover of ETFs for the first six months of 2013 was $4,547 million, an increase of 166 per cent when compared with $1,709 million for the same period last year.

Funds raised through IPOs for the first six months of 2013 was $39,488 million, an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $30,860 million for the same period last year.

According To ETFGI: Globally ETFs And ETPs Had Outflows Of US$3.98 Billion In June 2013, Their First Net Outflows In Over Two Years

Globally ETFs and ETPs had outflows of US$3.98 billion in June 2013, their first net outflows in over two years. Assets invested globally in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) are at US$2.04 trillion, down from their all-time high of US$2.13 trillion at the end of May 2013, according to preliminary figures from ETFGI’s Global ETF and ETP industry insights report for first half 2013. There are now 4,849 ETFs and ETPs, with 9,878 listings, assets of US$2.04 trillion, from 209 providers listed on 56 exchanges. Year to date assets in ETFs and ETPs have increased by 4.9% from US$1.95 trillion to US$2.04 trillion.

Florian Claus (41) is joining the Management Board of Scoach Europa AG, Frankfurt, with effect from 4 July 2013. He will head the company together with Simone Kahnt-Eckner (47), who was appointed to the Management Board effective 1 November 2012.

BM&FBOVESPA Publishes June Market Performance - BOVESPA Segment Registers Record Number Of Trades, Average Daily Trading Volume, And Average Daily Financial Volume - ETFs Register Record Number Of Trades

The total financial volume in the BOVESPA segment reached BRL 178.84 billion in June, compared to BRL 162.35 billion in May, 2013. The daily average set a record of BRL 8.94 billion up from BRL 7.73 billion recorded in May. The total number of trades also reached the milestone of 21,381,341 in June, surpassing the 19,733,908 trades registered in May. The average daily trading volume set a new record at 1,069,067 compared to 939,710 the previous month.

S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices - A Deletion From The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
The shares of Sierra Metals Inc. (TSXVN:SMT) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, July 5, 2013. The company will graduate to trade on TSX under the same ticker symbol.

Canadian Securities Regulators Establish Regulatory Framework To Manage Risks Associated With Direct Electronic Access

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today announced that it has issued amendments to National Instrument 23-103 Electronic Trading (NI 23-103), which will establish a consistent framework for the offer and use of direct electronic access (DEA) and address the financial and regulatory risks associated with DEA. NI 23-103 requires appropriate controls to ensure the integrity of dealers that offer DEA and the market as a whole.
