Osaka Securities Exchange: Partial Revisions To Articles Of Incorporations, etc. In Connection With The Integration Of Derivatives Markets With Tokyo Stock Exchange, etc.

Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. (“OSE”) will partially revise the Articles of Incorporations, etc. in connection with the integration of derivatives markets with Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (“TSE”) and the introduction of CNX Nifty Futures, etc. An outline of the revisions is as follows. In relation to this matter, OSE sought public comments on “Developing Rules in Connection with the Integration of Derivatives Markets”, “Partial Revision to the Daily Price Limit for JGB Futures and Options in conjunction with the Derivatives Markets Integration”, “Developing Fee Schedule in Connection with the Integration of Derivatives Markets” and “Outline of Specifications for CNX Nifty Futures”. Please refer to each page in the public comment for the main comments received and OSE’s responses to these comments.

Clearstream Extends The ICSD Settlement Day And Improves US Market Coverage

Clearstream, the post-trade services provider of Deutsche Börse Group, is extending the settlement day of its international central securities depository (ICSD). This results in improved cash and securities deadlines for internal settlement activity as well as for domestic settlement with local counterparties in the US, Canada and Latin American markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay and Peru. The step will also facilitate the free flow of collateral within the extended deadlines.

The key changes include additional investor safeguards and a practice note to clarify the regulatory principles and requirements of Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), as well as introducing an easier transfer process for ACE Market counters to move to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Securities).

NWE Price Coupling To Launch 4 February 2014

The project partners of the North-Western Europe (NWE) day-ahead price coupling project are pleased to confirm the project’s go live on 4 February 2014, for delivery on 5 February 2014. NWE will be the first implementation of the Price Coupling of Regions (PCR) solution, developed by European Power Exchanges, and will run in a common synchronised mode with South-Western Europe (SWE). This launch will be a significant step towards an integrated European power market.

Thomson Reuters today announced that it has improved performance and transparency for customers of its Autex FIX order routing network with two strategic enhancements. The Company has moved its global FIX order routing system, Autex Trade Route, onto its Elektron network, improving performance for over 750 buy-side firms and 700 executing brokers and venues using the service. Additionally, Thomson Reuters announced the launch of Autex Client Portal, the first tool of its kind among FIX network providers, to give system administrators at financial services firms a real-time, interactive view of network status and trading activity both within the firm and across counterparty connections, enabling greater operational risk management.
