  • STOXX Introduces STOXX Japan Strong Balance Sheet Indices

    STOXX Limited, a leading provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today introduced the STOXX Japan Strong Balance Sheet Indices, which select stocks according to their Altman Z-Score, a quantitative measure for the financial and fundamental health of a company. The new indices are designed to act as an underlying for exchange-traded products (ETPs) and other investable products, as well as benchmarks for actively managed funds. Furthermore, they can be replicated passively.

  • Global Finance Names The World’s Best Emerging Markets Banks In Asia-Pacific 2014

    Global Finance magazine has named the World’s Best Emerging Markets Banks in Asia-Pacific in an exclusive survey to be published in the May 2014 issue. Global Finance editors—with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants—selected the best emerging markets bank in the region and in 30 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products. In addition, for the first time, a poll of Global Finance’s corporate readership was conducted in order to increase the accuracy and reliability of the results.

  • Moscow Exchange: Minimum Initial Margin For Rostelecom Futures Ords To Be Increased

    Trading in Rostelecom ords and prefs on Moscow Exchange's Equity Market, as well as deposit operations with the National Settlement Depositary in those securities, are to be suspended from (preliminarily) 26 March through 1 April. This is due to reorganisation of Rostelecom by segregating assets to its RT-Mobile subsidiary. Trading in DRs representing Rostelecom shares will also be suspended during this period.
