  • Bank Of England Court Of Directors' Minutes 2007 - 2009

    As announced on 11 December 2014 the Bank is making a special release, in appropriately redacted form, of the minutes of Court and related meetings during the crisis period of June 2007 to May 2009, as requested by the Treasury Committee. In combination with the recent Plenderleith, Winters and Stockton reviews, this provides a complete record of the Bank’s activities during the crisis.

    • The Hang Seng Index ended 2014 at 23605.04, representing a year-on-year increase of 1 per cent.
    • The average daily turnover in 2014 was $69,456 million, an increase of 11 per cent when compared with $62,560 million in 2013.
    • The average daily turnover of ETFs in 2014 reached $4,727 million, a record high, and an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $3,701 million in 2013.
    • There were 122* newly listed companies in 2014, a record high, and an increase of 11 per cent when compared with the 110* in 2013.
    • IPOs raised $227,741 million in 2014, an increase of 35 per cent when compared with $168,960 million in 2013.
    • Total equity funds raised (including from IPOs) in 2014 reached $935,781 million, a record high, and an increase of 147 per cent when compared with $378,863 million in 2013.
