Chinese steel market participants expect steel demand to weaken further this year, with the outlook for new export orders dropping dramatically, according to the latest Platts China Steel Sentiment Index (Platts CSSI), which showed a headline reading of 25.61 out of a possible 100 points in November.

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) today confirmed that Murray Rex Alcock and Allister Ronald Knight (the Directors), of the various entities comprising the SPI group of companies (including SPI Property Fund Limited), have provided enforceable undertakings to the FMA. The Directors have undertaken not to participate in seeking or holding investment funds from the public for five years and to repay SPI Property Fund Limited investors.

In October, SIX Swiss Exchange registered the highest monthly turnover in the current year. With CHF 122'882 million it surpasses the previous month by more than 28%. In the segment equities (incl. funds + ETPs), the increase was even higher, raising by over 33% to CHF 94'676 million. Compared to September, the number of transactions in October increased by 39.6% to a total of 4'339'182.

Open interest for NYMEX Brent set a record of 155,713 on November 6, surpassing the 150,000 contracts milestone for the first time ever. The previous open interest record of 149,955 contracts was set on November 5, 2014.
