FESE General Assembly Appoints New Members Of The Board And New Chair And Vice Chair Of The Management Committee

The FESE General Assembly met on Wednesday 18th June in Zurich and unanimously approved the appointment of Lee Hodgkinson, Head of Markets & Global Sales, and Robin Jezek, Vice President, Head of Government Affairs, both from Euronext to the FESE Board replacing Roland Bellegarde and Mark MacGann, who recently stepped down from these positions.

Highlights From The European Supervisory Authorities Joint Consumer Protection Day

Consumer and investor protection is a common statutory objective of the three European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) - the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). As part of delivering on this objective, and following the first Joint ESAs Consumer Protection Day last year in Paris, the ESAs organised the second Joint ESAs Consumer Protection Day on 4 June 2014 in London.

The Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange Becomes An Affiliate Member Of The Federation of European Securities Exchanges

On 18th June 2014, the General Assembly of the Federation ofEuropean Securities Exchanges (FESE) unanimously approved the application ofTel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) to become an Affiliate Member. The Membershipwill commence as of 1st July 2014.

Deutsche Börse Celebrates 15 Years Of SDAX

Deutsche Börse today announced the SDAX Index is celebrating its 15th anniversary as Germany’s leading small-cap index on 21 June 2014. On Monday, 23 June 2014, this anniversary will be celebrated on the floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Susanne Zeidler from SDAX founding member Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG will participate in a special bell-ringing ceremony with Executive Board Member Hauke Stars, responsible for the Information Technology and Market Data + Services division of Deutsche Börse.

ICE Endex Achieves Daily Volume Record In Dutch TTF Natural Gas Futures

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, today announced that ICE Endex reached a daily volume record of 23,620 contracts in Dutch TTF natural gas futures on June 17, 2014. The previous record of 20,630 contracts was set on February 21, 2014.

Dubai Mercantile Exchange: Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract (DME Oman) Traded Above $110

DME, the Middle East’s premier international energy futures and commodities exchange, announced today that its flagship Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract (DME Oman) contract traded above $110 per barrel, during the 5-minute settlement window. The front-month August DME Oman futures traded at a high of $110.04 per barrel before settling slightly lower at $109.97 per barrel at 12:30 Dubai time, with more than 5,000,000 barrels traded during the window.

Intercontinental Exchange Agrees To Sell Wombat Financial Software To SR Labs

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement with SR Labs for the sale of the Wombat Financial Software, a unit of NYSE Technologies. The transaction is expected to close in third-quarter 2014 and terms were not disclosed.
