Russia’s BCS Financial Group Selects b-next For Market Abuse Surveillance As Part Of Its FCA Approval
b-next, the specialist provider of market abuse surveillance, insider dealing and compliance software solutions has added BCS Financial Group (BCS) to its growing client list. Russian based BCS will install the CMC:Suite for Market Abuse and Insider Dealing as part of its expansion into the UK where it will offer a full suite of investment banking activities and trading across a wide range of asset classes.

PEGAS: Powernext To Launch Futures Contract On PEG Sud
Powernext announces the launch of a “Front Month” contract on the GRTgaz Sud delivery zone as of 1st October at the request of its members. This new product will be listed on PEGAS, the common natural gas platform launched by Powernext and EEX.

Record German Power Volumes On NASDAQ OMX Commodities
NASDAQ OMX Commodities’ OTC cleared German power volumes reached all-time high on September 10, 2013. OTC cleared volume was 981 GWh and an additional 602 GWh was traded on the Exchange, giving a totally cleared volume of 1583 GWh.

First Middle East Central Counterparty Joins Euroclear’s Collateral Highway
The Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC) has become the first central counterparty (CCP) in the Middle East to join Euroclear’s global Collateral Highway. The DCCC guarantees settlement for all trades executed on the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), which is supported by a system of initial and variation margins.

Tokyo Stock Exchange ETF/ETN Monthly Report For August 2013
Trading in the ETF/ETN market continued to be active August, which also saw the listing of one new ETF.
- Trading activity in the ETF/ETN market in August continued to be active, with a monthly trading value of about 1.48 trillion yen, and a daily average of about 67.4 billion yen.
- In addition to "NEXT FUNDS Nikkei 225 Leveraged Index ETF (1570)" which topped the list, leveraged and inverse ETFs remained among the top-ranked issues. While the trading value of the ETF/ETN market declined slightly from the previous month, two inverse ETFs tracking the Nikkei 225 showed gains in trading value in August.
- Precious metal and other commodity ETFs stood out among top-ranked issues in terms of monthly trading value growth rates.
