OptionsCity Software, a global provider of electronic trading solutions for professional futures and options traders, and Nasdaq today announced that OptionsCity is a preferred independent software vendor for Nasdaq Futures (NFX), the exchange group's U.S. based designated contract market (DCM). Through NFX, Nasdaq will expand its commodities business with futures and options on key energy benchmarks including oil, natural gas and U.S. power, which will launch in 2015.

Finansinspektionen - Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority - Amortisation Requirement For New Mortgages

New mortgage holders must pay their mortgages down to a 50 per cent loan-to-value ratio. The amortisation requirement will apply to all new loans granted that are collateralised by a home, as of 1 August 2015. Properties may be revalued every fifth year. The rules will apply to all banks and credit market companies. This is proposed by Finansinspektionen (FI).

In a move that reflects the Egyptian Exchange (EGX)’ commitment to accelerate the capital increase and listing procedures in order to support the Egyptian economy and to help businesses obtain financing, EGX listing committee met for 3 consecutive days during one week for the first time in the Egyptian Exchange history to check the capital increase and listing applications submitted by a number of companies.

European Banking Authority Issues Revised List Of ITS Validation Rules

The European Banking Authority (EBA) issued today a revised list of validation rules in its Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) on supervisory reporting, highlighting those which have been deactivated either for incorrectness or for triggering IT problems. Competent Authorities throughout the EU are informed that data submitted in accordance with these ITS should not be validated against the set of deactivated rules.

FIA Inducts 13 Individuals To FIA Futures Hall Of Fame

Today, FIA announced the induction of 13 members into the FIA Futures Hall of Fame. They join 117 other honorees in the Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005 on the occasion of FIA’s 50th anniversary. The 13 new members were honored at an awards ceremony during the 40th annual International Futures Industry Conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

FCA And Bank Of England Review Memorandum Of Understanding For Supervision Of Markets And Market Infrastructure

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Bank of England (BoE), including the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that sets out how they cooperate with one another in relation to the supervision of markets and market infrastructure. The Financial Services Act 2012 introduced an obligation to review this MoU annually. The FCA and the BoE committed that this review would include feedback from industry and the findings would be published, the first review was published in 2014.
