United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Cross-Border Litigation).

CFTC Staff Reschedules Public Roundtable On Recovery Of Derivatives Clearing Organizations

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) staff has rescheduled the public roundtable to discuss issues related to the recovery and orderly wind-down of Derivatives Clearing Organizations (DCOs) for March 19, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The goal of this roundtable is to gather views from a variety of stakeholders, including DCOs, their clearing members (futures commission merchants), and the customers of their clearing members (including money managers, end-users, and others).

At the end of the settlement date of February 27, 2015, short interest in 2,269 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,619,971,690 shares compared with 7,574,745,109 shares in 2,266 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of February 13, 2015. The end-of-February short interest represents 4.69 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.94 days for the prior reporting period.

OCC And eSecLending Create Liquidity Facility With CalPERS

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) and eSecLending announced today that they collaborated with CalPERS to develop a product to help OCC diversify and increase their committed liquidity resources while offering a compelling risk-adjusted return for CalPERS. The fully collateralized facility offers the OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, a source of timely access to liquidity while maintaining CalPERS’ conservative risk profile.
