  • Direxion Launches Two New Leveraged ETFs Based On The ISE Cyber Security™ Index (Index Ticker: HXR)

    ISE ETF Ventures announced that Direxion Investments has licensed the ISE Cyber Security Index (index ticker: HXR) as the basis for two new leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that will seek to achieve 200 percent, and 200 percent of the inverse, of the daily performance of the index. The funds launched yesterday on NYSE Arca.

  • Federal Reserve Issues FOMC Statement

    Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in July suggests that economic activity is expanding at a moderate pace. Household spending and business fixed investment have been increasing moderately, and the housing sector has improved further; however, net exports have been soft. The labor market continued to improve, with solid job gains and declining unemployment. On balance, labor market indicators show that underutilization of labor resources has diminished since early this year. Inflation has continued to run below the Committee's longer-run objective, partly reflecting declines in energy prices and in prices of non-energy imports. Market-based measures of inflation compensation moved lower; survey-based measures of longer-term inflation expectations have remained stable.

  • French Delegation Visits Qatar Stock Exchange

    A French delegation today visited Qatar Stock Exchange and met with the CEO and other Qatari Directors. The delegation consisted of H.E Mr. Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of France to the State of Qatar, Ms. Agathe Demarais, the Economic Advisor on Middle East Affairs at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance; and the Head of the Economic Department of the French Embassy.

  • Latest Issue Of FIA SEF Tracker Now Available

    This issue shows average daily volume through July 2015 for interest rate, credit default and foreign exchange products. In the latest month, trading on swap execution facilities averaged $396.18 billion per day, down from June but up from a year ago. This issue also contains updated measures of SEF market share across all three asset classes, and an updated spreadsheet with weekly data on total volume traded on SEFs.
