NYSE Welcomes First Data Corporation, Largest U.S. IPO Of 2015

Payment technology company First Data Corporation (NYSE: FDC) began trading today on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol “FDC,” after its initial public offering. First Data raised $2.5 billion in gross proceeds and is the largest U.S. IPO of the year. Barclays is the NYSE Designated Market Maker for the company’s stock.

The Government has today appointed Erik Thedéen as the new Director General of Finansinspektionen. Erik Thedéen is the former CEO of KPA Pension and has previously worked at The Swedish Ministry of Finance, Nasdaq OMX (Stockholmsbörsen) and the Swedish National Debt Office.

Platts: Global Petrochemical Prices Fell To 6-Year Low In September - Monthly Average Price Was Lowest Since May 2009

Prices in the $3-trillion-plus global petrochemicals market in September fell to lows not seen since May 2009 as values across the energy complex remained soft, according to the just-released monthly Platts Global Petrochemical Index (PGPI).  Petrochemical prices, expressed as a monthly average, fell $102 per metric ton (/mt) From August to $786/mt in September. This is the second straight month where the average monthly price has fallen more than $100.
