Amendment Of GPW’s Short Selling Regulations - GPW No Longer Additionally Regulates Short Selling In Exchange Trading Following The Harmonisation Of Regulations With The Regulation Of The European Parliament And Of The Council

The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) is amending today its regulations on short selling in exchange trading. The amendment harmonises GPW regulations with the Act of 5 December 2014 amending the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments and certain other Acts. The new Act harmonises Polish short selling regulations with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council.

EEX Trading Volumes In May - Volume Doubled On The Power Derivatives Market – Continuous Trading On The CO2 Derivatives Market Increased 25-Fold – Trading Of Agricultural Products Successfully Launched

In May 2015, trading volumes on the Power Derivatives Market of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) amounted to 154.6 TWh. Compared to the same month in the previous year, the volume more than doubled (May 2014: 73.6 TWh). EEX power markets showed growing volumes in almost all market areas. On the Spanish Power Derivatives Market, EEX registered a new record volume at 1.7 TWh (previous record: 1.4 TWh in April 2015).

UK's Financial Conduct Authority: Eight Convicted For Role In Unauthorised Collective Investment Scheme

In a case brought by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Scott Crawley, Dale Walker, Daniel Forsyth, Brendan Daley, Aaron Petrou, Ross Peters, Adam Hawkins, and Ricky Mitchie have been convicted for their parts in the operation of an unauthorised collective investment scheme which led to 110 investors losing over £4.3 million.
