Platts Report: China Oil Demand Rises 2.9% In October From Year Ago - Imports Down 22.2% And Exports Up 30.3% - YTD Import-Export Volumes Balanced
China's apparent oil demand in October rose 2.9% year over year to 42.65 million metric tons (mt), or an average 10.09 million barrels per day (b/d), according to a just-released Platts analysis of Chinese government data. The official data has also showed that China’s year-to-date import and export volumes between January and October are at a net balance.

Ten European Gas And Electricity Associations Call For A Comprehensive Implementation Of The EU Anti-VAT-Fraud Package By All 28 Member States
Following the large-scale VAT fraud discovered in the CO2 emissions market in 2009, criminal networks are now targeting other tradable goods such as gas and electricity. In order to prevent further major fraud with several billion euros in VAT losses in the energy commodity sector, the ten largest European energy associations have been coordinating their efforts in the fight against VAT fraud since 2010. The group aims at increasing the awareness among all relevant stakeholders of this high-level risk along the energy value chain and calls for legislative measures to end VAT fraud in gas, electricity and emissions trading in Europe.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Market Bulletin 24 November, 2014, Issue 36
Last week, Shenzhen Component Index stood at 8332.3 points after adding 0.1%. SME Index edged up 1.9% to 5425.4 points. ChiNext Index advanced 4.4% to 1504.8 points. Total turnover for stocks and funds on SZSE was US$127.0 billion, or an 18.8% decrease from the week before.

Dalian Commodity Exchange Solicits Opinions On Contracts, Rules For Corn Starch Futures
In order to fully listen to the opinions and suggestions on the market, further improve the rules and operation mechanism for the corn starch futures and ensure the scientific and rational designing of the contract rules as well as give effective play to the market functions after the listing, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) issued a notice on November 21 to solicit opinions and suggestions on the contracts, rules and other contents for the corn starch futures from all market participants. The corn starch contract, China’s new and first futures product of the downstream corn industry, is to make the official debut.
