  • ESMA Issues Negative Opinion On Extending Greek Short Selling Ban

    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued a negative opinion on a proposed extension of the emergency short selling prohibition, regarding Attica Bank S.A. (ISIN GRS001003011), proposed by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC).

     

  • European Financial Stability Facility Issues 5-Year €3 Billion Bond

    The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) today issued a new €3 billion 5-year benchmark bond with a coupon of 0.1 percent, maturing on 19 January 2021. This is the first deal of the year by the EFSF or the ESM. The EFSF’s total funding needs for this year are €14 billion.

  • UK Financial Conduct Authority: Temporary Prohibition Of Short Selling: Banca Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena S.p.A.

    The Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) notifies that it temporarily prohibits short selling in the following instrument under Articles 23 (1) and 26 (4) of Regulation (EU) No 236/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2012. This follows a decision made by another EU Competent Authority.

  • Moscow Exchange Trading Volumes In December 2015

    Moscow Exchange (ticker: MOEX) announces trading volumes for December 2015. The Bond Market, FX Market and Derivatives Market posted the strongest growth, with volumes increasing 26.6%, 20.8% and 16.4% YoY, respectively. Money Market rose 11.1% YoY.
