EPEX SPOT: 15-Minute Contracts On Austrian Intraday Market Launched With Success - 108.75 MWh Of Power Traded On First Day

Trading of 15-minute contracts on the continuous Intraday power market in Austria has successfully started on 1 October 2015. 108.75 MWh were traded on the first day, including 42.4 MWh across borders, taking advantage of the existing liquidity on the German and Swiss 15-minute continuous trading.

CME Group Volume Averaged 14.4 Million Contracts Per Day In Third-Quarter 2015, Up 7 Percent From Third-Quarter 2014

- Third-quarter average daily volume rose 27 percent in interest rates, 26 percent in energy, 20 percent in agricultural commodities, 14 percent in metals, 9 percent in options and 23 percent in electronic options
- Monthly volume averaged 14.1 million contracts per day in September 2015, down 7 percent from September 2014
- Monthly energy average daily volume rose 22 percent
- Monthly equity index volume increased 19 percent

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Obtains Disqualification Orders Against Former Chairmen And Chief Executive Officer Of First China Financial Network Limited

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has obtained disqualification orders in the Court of First Instance against three former directors of First China Financial Network Holdings Ltd (First China): Mr Wang Wenming, former Chairman, Mr Lee Yiu Sun, former Chief Executive Officer, and Mr Richard Yin Yingneng, Wang’s predecessor (Notes 1, 2 & 3).

ESMA Sees Progress In Reform Of EU Credit Rating Industry

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published two sets of Technical Advice and a Report on the regulation of credit rating agencies (CRAs) in the EU. These papers provide an overview of competition and give insight into the market dynamics of this industry. They also consider measures to provide stronger controls around credit ratings for structured finance instruments and to reduce reliance on credit ratings.

Boerse Stuttgart Generates Turnover In Excess Of EUR 6.5 Billion In September - Year-On-Year Increase In Turnover From Equities, Securitised Derivatives And Exchange-Traded Products

According to its order book statistics, Boerse Stuttgart generated turnover in excess of EUR 6.5 billion in September. Although the trading volume was down when compared with the high figure for August, it was almost the same as in September 2014.

Proximus Successfully Lists A €500 Million Bond Issue On Euronext Brussels
