Saudi Arabia's Capital Market Authority: Announcement Regarding The Public Consultation Of The Draft Amended Listing Rules

As part of the Capital Market Authority's ("CMA") continuous efforts to develop the capital market and protect investors, and based on the Capital Market Law ("CML") issued by the Royal Decree Number (M/30) Dated 2/6/1424 H, the CMA Board has issued its Resolution which includes publishing the draft amended Listing Rules ("Rules") on the CMA’s website (indicated below) to enable concerned and interested parties to provide their comments and observations.
These proposed amendments also come as part of the various efforts and initiatives to develop the capital market in the Kingdom. One of the main initiatives to reach the CMA's goals is by developing the CMA’s Implementing Regulations and applying the provisions of the CML through the current joint project between the CMA and the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) for the purposes of separating the functions and jurisdictions between both entities as per the relevant CML provisions, in which the working-teams appointed for such project will conduct a comprehensive review of all Implementing Regulations and Internal Policies and Procedures at both the CMA and Tadawul during the next phase in order to achieve the desired goals.

Non Jordanian Investment At The Amman Stock Exchange During November 2015

The total value of shares that were bought by non-Jordanian investors during November 2015 was JD32.5 million, representing 21.2% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD25.1 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments during November 2015 showed an increase by JD7.5 million.

• The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market increased by 8.9% year on year to PLN 14.8 billion in November 2015
• The volume of trade in index futures was 304.1 thousand contracts, an increase of 14.9% year on year
• The total value of trading in equities on the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect was more than PLN 1.6 billion in January-November 2015 compared to PLN 1.0 billion in January-November 2014
• The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity increased by 12.6% year on year to 24.9 TWh in November 2015
• The volume of trading in property rights was 3.7 TWh in November 2015, an increase of 50.2% year on year
• The total volume of forward and spot transactions in natural gas was 98.6 TWh in January-November 2015, a decrease of 4.4% year on year

On behalf of the Federal Reserve Board, let me join my colleagues from the other bank regulatory agencies in welcoming you to this sixth and final outreach meeting being held as part of the interagency review process under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA). As you know, EGRPRA requires the federal banking agencies to conduct a decennial joint review of our regulations to identify those that are outdated, unnecessary, or unduly burdensome.
