IOSCO Publishes Report On Liquidity Management Tools In CIS

The International Organisation of Securities Commissions today published a report on Liquidity Management Tools in Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) that maps existing liquidity management frameworks in 26 member jurisdictions with a particular focus on tools to help deal with exceptional situations (e.g., significant redemption pressure). The report is based on a survey sent to members of IOSCO's Committee 5 on Collective Investment Schemes.

Thai Bourse Rolls Out 2016 Plan To Build New S-Curve For Quality Growth

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has revealed its 2016 plan towards sustainable growth, focusing on expanding investor base and enhancing quality of listed firms. The bourse was ready to follow government economic policies by facilitating private sectors for both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and qualified businesses to access capital market fund, creating new “S-curve” by increasing product diversification and facilitating companies for fundraising in the region, while strengthening domestic institutional investor base and expanding retail investor base. Furthermore, SET will support the quality of listed firms to be enhanced with consideration on environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.

Suspension Of Trading In Euronext Shares

As a provisional measure, Euronext is suspending trading in its own shares with effect from 9.00am CET this morning. This is a precautionary action pending a verdict that is to be received later this morning from the District Court of Rotterdam, The Netherlands in the appeal procedure between Euronext N.V. and Euronext Amsterdam N.V. and the Dutch Minister of Finance related to the consolidated capital requirements. Following an analysis of this verdict which may or may not be a final decision, Euronext will issue a statement after which trading will resume as soon as possible.

MARKET Cap Segment Review At Nasdaq Nordic Exchanges

Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) reports that the annual review of its Nordic market capitalization (market cap) segments is completed. The revision is based on the average market cap value in November 2015. Together with indexes and sector classifications, the market cap segmentation is a tool to increase visibility for companies listed on Nasdaq’s exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Iceland.
