The trading volume of Three-month Euroyen futures in December was 177,398 ( + 1.5% MoM / + 54.2% YoY) and its average daily volume was 8,448 .

Dr. Al Zaabi applauded the efforts of the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote the culture of corporate governance, identify corporate governance concepts, and spread awareness of corporate governance at listed companies.

Dalian Commodity Exchange Revises Contract, Rules For Egg Futures

In order to further adapt to the spot market conditions and give better play to the role of the futures market in serving the industries, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) issued a notice on Dec 22, announcing that it has revised the “Egg Futures Contract of Dalian Commodity Exchange” and the “Detailed Rules of Dalian Commodity Exchange for Delivery”, etc. the revised contract and rules will come into effect starting from JD1703 Contract.

Last year, Japan’s economy started a gradual recovery with improved employment and income. This was in spite of slowing economic growth in Europe, China and other emerging economies. Commodity markets were moderately active following increased volatility starting late last summer stemming from an anticipated economic slowdown in China.

Much has happened in the world of central banking in the past 10 years. The list of challenges we face is long and includes fundamental issues such as lender-of-last-resort policies in the modern financial system, the role of central banks in the supervision of the financial sector, and the appropriate role of forward guidance in monetary policy communications. Those are the topics I will not discuss today.

Performance Of The Amman Stock Exchange, 2015

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), Mr. Nader Azar, said that the ASE witnessed a slight decline in performance during 2015. The ASE price index weighted by free float shares decreased to reach (2136.3) point at the end of 2015 compared with (2165.5) point by the end of 2014; a decrease of (1.35%), despite this decline, the performance of the ASE is considered better than most Arab markets performance. The market capitalization of listed shares at the ASE decreased slightly to JD (18) billion; a decrease of (0.5%), compared with last year 2014 closing, constituting (70.7%) of the GDP.
