Nasdaq Announces End-Of-Month Open Short Interest Positions In Nasdaq Stocks As Of Settlement Date December 31, 2015

At the end of the settlement date of December 31, 2015, short interest in 2,304 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,935,162,458 shares compared with 8,094,051,950 shares in 2,312 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of December 15, 2015. The end-of-December short interest represents 4.26 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 5.20 days for the prior reporting period.

European Financial Stability Facility Issues 5-Year €3 Billion Bond

The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) today issued a new €3 billion 5-year benchmark bond with a coupon of 0.1 percent, maturing on 19 January 2021. This is the first deal of the year by the EFSF or the ESM. The EFSF’s total funding needs for this year are €14 billion.
