China Exchanges Services Company Index Report 2015

Highlights
- Cross-border mid-cap index, CES 280, had a return of 10.3 per cent , outperforming other major benchmark indices.
- CES cross-bored index, CES 120, included stocks from Shenzhen’s ChiNext for the first time to better reflect Mainland development.
- Developed markets performed well while emerging markets took a beating. The Mainland market experienced some uncommon booms and busts.
- The CSI 300 Index had a full-year gain of 5.6 per cent. A shares outperformed stocks of other emerging economies.
- Trading through Shanghai-Hong Kong was smooth though participants remained limited.
- Number of Hong Kong ETFs that track A shares increased to 45.
- Open interest of FTSE China A50 Index Futures continued to hit new highs

Taiwan Stock Exchange And Singapore Exchange Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement, TWSE Subsidiary To Join SGX As Remote Trading Member

Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced the establishment of a strategic partnership agreement, where a subsidiary of TWSE, Global Link Securities Co. Ltd will join SGX as a remote trading member, a significant first step towards wider partnership between the two exchanges.

Shanghai Futures Exchange: Notice On Market Risk Control During The Spring Festival 2016

According to the Announcement by the Exchange on Trading Schedule during Spring Festival for Year 2016, the Exchange’s futures markets will be closed from February 7 through February 13. According to the Risk Management Rules of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, we decide to adjust the trading margin requirements and price limits for each product around the Spring Festival.

Westpac MNI China Consumer Sentiment Indicator Edges Higher - Consumer Confidence Unfazed By Recent Stock Market Turmoil

The Westpac MNI China Consumer Sentiment Indicator increased in January, albeit marginally, led by a bounce-back in consumers’ optimism about their expected personal finances which offset a worsening in expectations for business conditions. Significant share price declines in early January had no material impact on overall consumer confidence. The headline sentiment indicator rose 1% to 114.9 in January, reaching its highest level since September last year.
