  • Market Moves To Adopt TriOptima's triResolve Margin Service In Anticipation Of 2017 Variation Margin Rules

    TriOptima, a leading provider of OTC derivatives post-trade risk management services and infrastructure, announces today that an increasing number of financial institutions are joining the triResolve Margin service in anticipation of the new variation margin rules for non-cleared OTC derivatives effective 1 March 2017. These institutions include a variety of dealers, buy-side and corporates such as B & P Fund Services AB, BRED Banque Populaire, Länsförsäkringar Bank AB, The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland, Delta Air Lines, Inc, several major Japanese banks and many more. 

  • TeleWare Successfully Migrates Fixed-Call Recording Onto The Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

    TeleWare today announced that, at midnight  1st November 2016, it achieved another milestone for the industry and successfully migrated its TeleWare Hosted Service fixed-line call recording functions completely onto Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and datacentres. This was made possible after TeleWare made the world’s first call completely routed, recorded and analysed through Azure on 13th September 2016.

  • IISL Index Dashboard For The Month Ended October 2016

    Summary:

    • Nifty 50 was flat during the month and closed at 8625.70 as on October 30, 2016, an increase of 14.55 points (0.17%) as against 8611.15 as on September 30, 2016.
    • The free float market capitalization of Nifty 50 index was USD 474.18 Bn. as on October 30, 2016 as against USD 474.78 Bn. as on September  30, 2016. The free float market capitalization of Nifty Next 50 index was USD 96.39 Bn. as on October 30, 2016 as against USD 93.86 Bn. as on September 30, 2016.
    • Most indices across all categories gained during the one month period ending October 30, 2016. Nifty CPSE Index gained the most (8.10%) amongst all the indices during the month whereas the Nifty100 Low Volatility 30 index (-3.74%) was the biggest loser during the month.
    • During the 3 month period ending October 30, 2016, the biggest gainer overall was Nifty CPSE Index (13.86%) and biggest gainers in various categories are Nifty Midcap 50 (11.59%) in broad market index category, Nifty CPSE (13.86%) in thematic index category, Nifty Alpha 50(5.45%) in strategy index category and Nifty PSU Bank (10.85%) in sectoral index category.
    • The biggest overall gainer during the 1 year period ending October 30, 2016 is Nifty Metal (48.45%) and biggest gainers in their respective index categories are Nifty Midcap 50 (24.28%) in broad market index category, Nifty Commodities (32.23%) in thematic index category, Nifty100 Equal Weight (14.46%) in strategy index category and Nifty Metal (48.45%) in sectoral index category. Nifty IT index (-12.22%) was the biggest looser during the 1 year period.
    • As part of annual review, IISL on October 17, 2016, announced replacements in Nifty Dividend Opportunities 50, Nifty50 Value 20 and NiftyQuality 30 indices. These changes are in effect w.e.f. November 15, 2016.

    The trading volume of Three-month Euroyen futures in October was 133,954 ( △ 48.5% MoM / △ 16.3% YoY) and its average daily volume was 6,698 . See the TABLE 1 for the composition of the trading volume.
