Thomson Reuters today announced the launch of its new Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Index. The D&I Index ranks the top 100 publicly traded companies globally with the most diverse and inclusive workplaces, as measured by 24 metrics across four key categories: Diversity, Inclusion, People Development and News Controversies. The Index is then calculated by weighing each metric based on importance in the market and how each company compares with its peers. The D&I Index is available on Thomson Reuters Eikon, as are the underlying diversity and inclusion metrics, which can be used to gain insight and help financial professionals screen companies for long-term opportunities and risks in their investments.

Thai Bourse To Revise Listing Criteria To Enhance Newly Listed Securities’ Quality, Effective January 1, 2017

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has amended the criteria for the new listing of securities on SET and Market for Alternative Investment (mai), aiming to enhance securities’ quality and increase liquidity, ultimately to strengthen capital market growth, effective from January 1, 2017. In addition, SET and mai have also revised the minimum par value of listed firms to be no less than THB 0.50, effective October 1, 2016 onwards, while exploring new approaches to facilitate startups and small firms to access funds.

Mark Jackson Named CEO Of The Baltic Exchange

The Baltic Exchange Limited (“Baltic Exchange”) today announces that Mark Jackson, currently Chief Commercial Officer of AM Nomikos Group and a former Chairman and Director of The Baltic Exchange, will become its next Chief Executive Officer. He is expected to take up his appointment early in 2017 and replaces the current CEO Jeremy Penn, who last year announced his intention to stand down this summer.
