  • EEX: REMIT Reporting For Now Over 300 Customers

    In October 2016, the number of companies using the REMIT reporting service of EEX Group amounted to 304 customers. Within the scope of this service, transaction data of EEX, Gaspoint Nordic and Powernext have been reported to the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulatory Authorities (ACER) since 7 October 2016. As of December, the service will also be extended to the CEGH gas market as the Austrian gas contracts will be migrated onto the PEGAS platform. In cooperation with the IT service provider Seven2one, we also enable our customers to report off-exchange transactions.

    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published an updated questions and answers (Q&A)document on the application of MiFID II/ MiFIR which clarifies when ESMA will publish the first set of data needed to implement the Systematic Internaliser (SI) regime and the date by when firms must comply with the SI regime for the first time.

    • The average daily turnover for the first 10 months of 2016 was $67.1 billion, a decrease of 41 per cent when compared with $113.5 billion for the same period last year.
    • Funds raised through IPOs for the first 10 months of 2016 was $166.2 billion, a decrease of 17 per cent when compared with $199.5 billion for the same period last year.
    • There were 94* newly listed companies for the first 10 months of 2016, a decrease of 6 per cent when compared with 100* for the same period last year.
