  • Irish Stock Exchange: Italian Bank, Banca Sistema, Lists €175m Notes On MSM

    Banca Sistema lists for the first time on the Main Securities Market (MSM) of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) with issuance of €175m notes. The notes, with a 1.75% interest rate, have a maturity date of October 2020.

    The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) hosted a delegation from Muscat Securities Market (MSM) during this week to identify the most important working mechanisms in technical departments, such as disclosure and surveillance, and the latest developments in the regulations of companies listing. This comes in the framework of trailing the activation of the memorandum of understanding signed with Muscat Securities Market about 14 years ago, while this is the third training program for the Omani side in Egypt since the signing of the memorandum.

  • The Saudi Arabia Capital Market Authority: Updated Regulations To Regulate Mergers And Acquisitions

    The Capital Market Authority’s Board of Commissioners has issued its resolution to adopt the updated Merger and Acquisition Regulations, thereby replacing the previously implemented Merger and Acquisition Regulations, which was adopted in 2007. The updated regulation will be effective and enter into force starting from today 29/01/1439H corresponding to 19/10/2017.

    In continuance to the CMA role in regulating and developing the capital market, and aiming to make the capital market environment more stable, and in accordance with the national transformation program and the Saudi Vision 2030, and based on the capital market law issued under the royal decree no. (M/30) dated 02/06/1424H, and the Companies Law issued by Royal Decree No. M/3 dated 28/1/1437H, the CMA board issued its resolution to approve the updated Merger and Acquisition Regulations, and the updated Glossary Of Defined Terms Used In The Regulations And Rules Of The Capital Market Authority, both shall be effective and in full force upon their publication.
