Launched July 8th – The Tel Bond-Dollar Index - The Index Is Comprised Of Dollar-Linked Corporate Bonds Listed On TASE

Today (July 8th, 2018), a new corporate bonds index was launched – the “Tel Bond-Dollar Index”. The index consists of dollar-linked corporate bonds listed on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (“TASE”). Following the launch of the new index, TASE will be calculating 29 Tel Bond indices, 10 of which were launched in 2017 and 6 of which were launched since the beginning of 2018.

Chicago-based R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO), the oldest and largest independent futures brokerage and clearing firm in the United States, announced today that Joseph B. Raia has joined its New York office as Managing Director, Global Commodity Futures. Raia has a decades-long track record in futures and over-the-counter (OTC) markets as well as hedging/risk management and business development – with a specialty in global commodities and energy products – including in Managing Director roles at Goldman Sachs and Co., CME Group and the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

TAIFEX Expands Commodity Product Portfolio With Debut Of Brent Crude Oil Futures

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) has launched its first energy futures contract – Brent Crude Oil Futures. Based on the world’s leading oil benchmark, ICE Brent Index, TAIFEX’s new product is cash settled, Taiwan Dollars (TWD) denominated, and features small-sized contracts, which lower the barrier of entry for investors seeking to mitigate risks in the international oil markets.

Bursa Malaysia Seeks Public Feedback On Proposed Enhancements To ETF Framework

Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia” or “the Exchange”) today issued a consultation paper to seek public feedback on the proposed review of the Main Market Listing Requirements and Rules and Directives of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in relation to Exchange-Traded Funds (“ETFs”) (collectively “Proposed ETF Amendments”). The public consultation period will run from 9 July 2018 to 23 July 2018.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has reprimanded and fined CCB International Capital Limited (CCBIC) $24 million for failing to discharge its duties as the sole sponsor in the listing application of Fujian Dongya Aquatic Products Co., Ltd (Fujian Dongya) in 2013 and 2014 (Notes 1 & 2).

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Q&As On Launching The Mandatory Delisting Mechanism For Yabaite Technology

On the evening of July 4, 2018, Jiangsu Yabaite Technology Co. Ltd (stock code: 002323, hereinafter referred to as Yabaite or the company) released the Announcement on the Company’s Transfer to Public Security Bureau by the CSRC for Suspected Crimes. The announcement says that the company is suspected of constituting the crime of illegal information disclosure and non-disclosure of important information so that CSRC has recently transferred the case to the public security organ.
