Bursa Malaysia’s subsidiary, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad, will launch the Mini FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index Futures Contract (“FM70”) on Monday, 27 August 2018, the first mini futures contract to be traded on the Exchange’s derivatives market.

ESMA To Renew Prohibition On Binary Options For A Further Three Months

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has agreed to renew the prohibition of the marketing, distribution or sale of binary options to retail clients, in effect since 2 July, from 2 October 2018 for a further three-month period. The Commonwealth Bank (CBA) has helped its client, the World Bank, launch bond-i - the world’s first bond to be created, allocated, transferred and managed through its life cycle using distributed ledger technology. CBA was mandated by the World Bank as arranger for the bond on August 10 and following a two-week consultation period with the market, the two-year bond has raised A$110 million.
