 The total value of shares traded for the month  ending 28 February  2018 amounted to SAR 67.75 billion, decreasing by 17.34% over the previous month; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 1,745.77 billion at the end of this period, decreasing by 2.57% over the previous month.

• The total value of shares purchased by “Saudi Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 62.13 billion representing 91.70% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR  63.47 billion representing 93.68% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “Saudi Investors” stood at 93.43% of total market capitalization as of 28 February 2018, representing a decrease of 0.10% from the previous month. 
• The total value of shares purchased by “GCC Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 1.55 billion representing 2.29% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 1.57 billion representing 2.32% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “GCC Investors” stood at 2.05% of total market capitalization as of 28 February 2018, representing an increase of 0.005% from the previous month. 
• The total value of shares purchased by “Foreign Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 4.07 billion representing 6.01% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 2.71 billion representing 4.00% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “Foreign Investors” stood at 4.51% of total market capitalization as of 28 February  2018 , representing an increase of 0.10% from the previous month.

EEX Trading Results For January 2018 - EEX Significantly Increases Volumes In Power And Emissions Markets

In February 2018, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) achieved a total volume of 274.3 TWh on its power derivatives markets (February 2017: 200.8 TWh) which is a year-on-year increase of 37%. In doing so, EEX was able to grow its power derivatives volumes across all market areas.
