CFTC Financial Data For Futures Commission Merchants Update

Futures commission merchants (FCMs) and retail foreign exchange dealers (RFEDs) must file monthly financial reports with the CFTC's Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight (DSIO) within 17 business days after the end of the month. Selected financial information from these reports is published below. The most recent month-end information generally is added within 12 business days after FCMs and RFEDs file their reports, but occasionally may be added later. For example:  The 17th business day filing “due date" for February 28, 2015 financial reports was March 25, 2015.  The 12 business day target for posting these data was April 10, 2015.

CME Group Inc. Announces Third-Quarter 2018 Earnings Release, Conference Call

CME Group Inc. will announce earnings for the third quarter of 2018 before the markets open on Thursday, October 25, 2018.  Slides and written highlights for the quarter will be posted on its website at 6:30 a.m. Central Time, the same time it provides its earnings press release.  The company will hold an investor conference call that day at 7:30 a.m. Central Time, at which time company executives will take analysts' questions.

MARF today registered a new commercial paper (CP) programme by Hoteles Turísticos Unidos (HOTUSA). Through this new financing tool, the company may issue, over a year, individual tranches of CPs with nominal per-unit amounts of 100,000 euros, maximum terms of 24 months and an outstanding volume of 50 million euros.

The market opened for four trading days this week as the Federal Government of Nigeria declared Monday 1st  October 2018  a Public Holiday to mark the 58th Independence Anniversary.   

Meanwhile, a  total turnover of 639.317 million shares worth N7.842 billion in 10,477 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 924.546 million shares valued at N14.194 billion that exchanged hands last week in 14,119 deals.

Miami International Holdings, Inc. today reported the September 2018 trading activity for its two fully electronic options exchanges – MIAX Options® and MIAX PEARL™ (together, the MIAX Exchange Group™). The MIAX Exchange Group collectively executed over 30.7 million contracts in September 2018 for a combined average daily volume (ADV) of 1,617,423 contracts, representing a total U.S. equity options market share of 9.53%.
