Swedish loans for consumption

Most loans for consumption are small and have a high effective interest rate and a short maturity. Households with large loans represent the largest share of new lending, though, and the large loan segment is growing the fastest. Households with high income have the largest loans. Borrowers with mortgages normally have larger consumption loans than borrowers without mortgages. These are some of the results from FI’s mapping of consumption loans, Swedish Consumption Loans 2018.

1st Cross-market Railway Bond To Be Listed On Shanghai Stock Exchange On June 11

China Railway Corporation successfully issued the 1st cross-market railway bond on June 6, with the total issuance size of RMB20 billion on the exchange and interbank bond markets, among which RMB10 billion is for 5-year products at the issuance rate of 4.46% and the other RMB10 billion for 20-year products at 4.78%. Banks, insurance companies, securities dealers and enterprise annuities are active in purchase in this cross-market issuance of railway bond. Warm response has been seen in the market, and new progress has been made in the interconnection among the bond markets. The railway bond will be listed for trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) on June 11, and adopt the way of bidding, quoting, enquiry and contractual trading. It will open to the public investors and qualified investors, and can be used for collateralized repo after listing, with the repo discount coefficient at 0.96.

Nadex Product Schedule for the China Holiday on June 18, 2018

Due to the China Holiday on Monday, June 18, 2018, the China 50 contracts will have a modified trading schedule. No China 50 contracts will be offered for trade date June 18, 2018, but will resume regular listing hours in accordance with the Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines for trade date June 19, 2018. Please refer to the Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines for specific product trading hours.

CFTC Charges Omega Knight 2, LLC, Aviv Michael Hen, And Erez Hen With $5.5 Million Precious Metals Fraud - CFTC Also Charges Defendants With Engaging In Illegal, Off-Exchange Precious Metals Transactions

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Defendants Omega Knight 2, LLC (Omega Knight), its owner and president, Aviv Michael Hen (Aviv Hen) of Great Neck, New York, and Erez Hen (Eric Hen) of Florida.

EBA: Consultation On The Guidelines On The Conditions To Be Met To Benefit From An Exemption From Contingency Measures Under Article 33(6) Of Regulation (EU) 2018/389 (RTS On SCA & CSC)

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on Guidelines to clarify a number of issues identified by market participants and competent authorities in relation to the four conditions to be met to benefit from an exemption from the fallback option envisaged under Article 33(6) of Regulation (EU) 2018/389 on strong customer authentication and common and secure communication, which will apply from 14 September 2019. The EBA aims at providing assistance to market participants and competent authorities for a smooth, transparent and consistent implementation of the RTS on SCA and CSC. These Guidelines should be read along with the Opinion on the implementation of the RTS on SCA and CSC, which was also published today. The consultation runs until 13 August 2018.

EBA Publishes Opinion On The Implementation Of The RTS On Strong Customer Authentication And Common And Secure Communication

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today an Opinion on the implementation of the regulatory technical standards (RTS) on strong customer authentication (SCA) and common and secure communication (CSC), which will apply from 14 September 2019. In the Opinion, the EBA clarifies a number of issues identified by market participants and Competent Authorities (CAs) to assist in this implementation.

Federal Reserve Issues FOMC Statement

Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in May indicates that the labor market has continued to strengthen and that economic activity has been rising at a solid rate. Job gains have been strong, on average, in recent months, and the unemployment rate has declined. Recent data suggest that growth of household spending has picked up, while business fixed investment has continued to grow strongly. On a 12-month basis, both overall inflation and inflation for items other than food and energy have moved close to 2 percent. Indicators of longer-term inflation expectations are little changed, on balance.

Federal Court Orders Jamal Y. Vance And His Company All City Investments, LLC To Pay Over $770,000 In Penalties For Solicitation Fraud And Failure To Register As A Commodity Trading Advisor

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that Judge Alison P. Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York entered a Consent Order against Defendant Jamal Y. Vance, finding that Vance committed solicitation fraud in connection with off-exchange foreign currency (forex) transactions and failed to register with the CFTC as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), as required.
