Vienna Stock Exchange First European Stock Exchange With Status As EU Benchmark Administrator

Vienna Stock Exchange has become the first European exchange to be admitted as a registered benchmark administrator. This is the name given to a natural or legal person who has control (decision on the creation, quality, composition,...) over an index. From 1 January 2020, financial institutions that use indices as underlying assets for derivatives and structured products will have to rely on indices of an EU benchmark administrator. The successful registration confirms the high transparency and quality of the more than 130 tradable indices of Vienna Stock Exchange. The indices of Vienna Stock Exchange already met the strictest European and global regulatory standards.
