CME Group's Terry Duffy To Appear Before The U.S. House Committee On Agriculture Subcommittee To Discuss Impact Of E.U. Foreign Clearinghouse Regulation On U.S. Futures Markets

CME Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Terry Duffy will appear before the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy and Credit today to discuss the potential implications of recent European Union (E.U.) legislation that could grant sweeping new regulatory power to European regulators over U.S. futures markets.

Chainalysis Bolsters Executive Leadership With Chief Technical Counsel Hire – Further Expands Government Expertise With Global Policy And Government Affairs Executives

Chainalysis, the blockchain analysis company, has appointed Michael Mosier as Chief Technical Counsel. He joins Chainalysis after serving for over a decade in various government positions, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the White House National Security Council, and most recently, the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Alongside former U.S. Department of Treasury and Refinitiv executives based in Washington, DC at Chainalysis, Mosier will be responsible for bringing legal expertise to our products, including data privacy and global anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, policy, and government matters.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) notes that the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (the ICAC) is conducting an investigation into allegations of corruption concerning one former employee of HKEX which allegedly took place during their employment by HKEX. The ICAC is not investigating HKEX or any other HKEX employees.

SGX Launches Asia’s First Portfolio Compression Service For Listed Derivatives

Singapore Exchange (SGX) is the first exchange in Asia to extend a portfolio compression service from over-the-counter (OTC) products to listed derivatives. The service is launched in collaboration with Capitalab, a division of BGC Brokers LP, an entity within the BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP) group of companies.

Vienna Stock Exchange: Further Expansion Of "Global Market"

For the third time this year, Vienna Stock Exchange is expanding its international offering in the global market. Starting today, almost 30 new companies will be added, including the software company "Slack Technologies", which made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange on June 20. Also new: the biopharmaceutical company "Bristol-Myers Squibb Co", the coffee shop operator in China "Luckin Coffee Inc.", the financial service provider "S&P Global Inc.", the financial broker "Charles Schwab Corp" and the transport company "Union Pacific Corp". On 28 June is the first trading day of the Volkswagen Spin-Off Traton at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The company will be tradable in Vienna immediately after its IPO in Frankfurt. In total, the offering on the global market thus consists of almost 660 securities from 26 countries. The second largest segment of the Vienna Stock Exchange so far generated an average monthly turnover of EUR 210 million in 2019.
