SEC: SeaWorld And Former CEO To Pay More Than $5 Million To Settle Fraud Charges - Company, Two Former Executives Charged With Misleading Investors About The Impact Of Documentary On Business

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. and its former CEO have agreed to pay more than $5 million to settle fraud charges for misleading investors about the impact the documentary film Blackfish had on the company’s reputation and business. SeaWorld’s former vice president of communications also agreed to settle a fraud charge for his role in misleading SeaWorld’s investors.

OCC Declares 2017 Clearing Member Refund Under Approved Capital Plan

It has long been understood that deeper financial integration would lead to a better functioning of Economic and Monetary Union.[1] And when the euro was first introduced there were encouraging signs that this integration was taking place. Price-based indicators of financial integration showed a pronounced increase, and the standard deviation of interbank lending rates across the euro area fell to close to zero.[2] Quantity-based measures of financial integration only adjusted sluggishly, as crucial parts of the banking sector, such as retail banking, remained mainly national.

On Thursday, 13th September, the Exchange Council of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) held its third meeting of 2018 in Paris, chaired by Dr Michael Redanz, Managing Director of EWE Trading GmbH. In the course of the meeting, the Exchange Council addressed a number of key topics including the continuing development of using EEX’s product offering to hedge long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), the applicability of pre-trade transparency requirements for trade registration services as well as the upcoming German/Austrian bidding zone split.
