SEC Announces $23.8 Million Settlement With The Self-Proclaimed “Frack Master”

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced it has agreed to a settlement with Christopher A. Faulkner—the self-proclaimed “Frack Master”—in connection with his wide-ranging securities-fraud scheme that raised over $80 million from hundreds of investors nationwide. Faulkner has simultaneously entered into a plea agreement relating to the same misconduct under which he will serve 12 years in federal prison for securities fraud, money laundering, and tax evasion.

ETFGI Reports Assets In ETFs And ETPs Listed In Latin America See Net Inflows Of US$107 Million During September

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm on trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported today that assets invested in ETFs and ETPs listed in Latin America saw net inflows of US$107 million during September 2018. Total assets invested in ETFs and ETPs listed in Latin America decreased by 6.93%, to US$8.36 billion at the end of September, down from US$8.98 billion at the end of August, according to ETFGI’s September 2018 Latin America ETF and ETP industry landscape insights report, an annual paid-for research subscription service. The latest issue of the Agency’s REMIT Quarterly has been published on the REMIT Portal. The 14th edition of the REMIT Quarterly for the third quarter of 2018 reviews the 2nd Energy Market Integrity and Transparency Forum and presents its conclusions. It also briefly discusses the first sanctions for non-compliance with registration and reporting obligations under REMIT, provides information about the updates of REMIT documentation, as well as an overview of Contingency Reports opened by Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRMs).
