New York Attorney General Letitia James today announced the sentencing of David and Ramona Wright — both formerly of Sherrill, New York — for their guilty pleas, earlier this year, to Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and felony securities fraud under the Martin Act. As part of their convictions, the Wrights forfeited nearly $400,000 in up-front restitution to the victims of their crimes, including a $175,000 yacht purchased with investor money. David Wright was sentenced to two-to-six years in state prison, and Ramona Wright was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to make additional monthly restitution payments to investors.

In accordance with the article 3.3. of BIST-KYD Indices Ground Rules, periodic review for the BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond Indices for the period January-March 2020 (January 1, 2020 – March 31, 2020) has been finalized. There is no Eurobond to be included in or excluded from the BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD and BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD (TRY) Indices and they will continue to be calculated with the same list of constituents in the period January-March 2020.

FINRA Sanctions Five Firms For Failing To Reasonably Supervise Custodial Accounts - Firms Did Not Know Essential Facts About Customers With Custodial Accounts Established Pursuant To The Uniform Transfers To Minors Act (UTMA) And Uniform Gifts To Minors Act (UGMA)

FINRA announced today that it has sanctioned five firms—Citigroup Global Markets Inc.; J.P. Morgan Securities LLC; LPL Financial LLC; Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC; and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated—for failing to reasonably supervise compliance with FINRA Rule 2090, FINRA’s “Know Your Customer” rule.

NSD Valuation Center To Evaluate Bonds Without International Ratings In Partnership With Interfax And AKRA RM

Starting 13 January 2020, National settlement Depository (NSD) will start publishing the fair values of more than 300 bond issues without international credit ratings. A new methodology uses issuer credit quality estimations calculated based on models developed by Interfax and AKRA Risk Management (AKRA RM).
