    The Nasdaq Stock Market® announced that in observance of the Independence Day Holiday, it will close at 1 p.m., Eastern Time (ET), on July 3, 2000. As part of the previously announced holiday schedule for major U.S. equity markets, Nasdaq® is also closed on July 4, 2000. Nasdaq technical systems will close early on July 3rd according to the following schedule:

  • CME Domestic Stock Indexes To Settle At Fair Value, Close Early At End Of Quarter On Friday, June 30

    Following its new quarter-end settlement procedure, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will close its domestic equity index futures contracts 10 minutes early at the end of the quarter, Friday, June 30, and revise its daily settlement procedures to reflect a “fair value” settlement price.

  • CBOT And Eurex Set Date For Simulation On Alliance Trading Platform - Alliance On Target For Third Quarter Launch

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and Eurex announced today that functional simulation on their joint electronic trading platform will begin July 17, 2000. Functional simulation is the last step before the launch of the CBOT/Eurex Alliance platform, which is on target for the third quarter 2000. Functional simulation provides participating firms and traders with the opportunity to test new installations and familiarize themselves with the platform's trading functionality.
